Bay View Hotel is a family-oriented and relaxing hotel and bar-restaurant, with a swimming pool area and a beautiful terrace facing the Pacific beach of El Palmar, San Carlos (about 93 kms. from Panama City), approximately at 1 and a half hour by car.
It’s a nature-inspired resort, that at first sight looks like an oasis in the middle of the beach because of its water fountains and green vegetation, composed mainly by tropical plants, palm trees and flowers. There are several thatched-roof bohios surrounding a fish-shaped pool that is divided for the use of kids and adults.
Bay View Resort has 27 rooms for renting, all of them with air conditioning, hot water, T.V. set with cable TV , and comfortable beds, free wireless internet on the restaurant area. You may be received personally by the owners, whom will try to make your stay a pleasant experience.

Bay View Hotel, ubicado en la playa El Palmar, San Carlos, es un hotel y bar-restaurante que ofrece a sus visitantes un paraíso ideal para el descanso y la diversión en familia. A sólo 93 kms. de la Ciudad de Panamá y a 1 hora y media de camino por carro, Ud. encontrará un hotel inspirado en la belleza de la naturaleza. Al llegar a Bay View da la impresión de estar en un oasis en medio de la playa, por sus varias fuentes de agua y por el verdor de su exuberante vegetación, compuesta principalmente por plantas tropicales, palmas, y flores.
Posee una piscina rodeada de ranchitos y sillas de playa, y una hermosa terraza justo al lado de la playa, con una espectacular vista de la bahía.
En un gran bohío, ubicado en una colina desde donde se divisa el mar y los verdes jardines, se encuentran el Restaurante y el bar, los cuales le ofrecen al visitante un variado menú de exquisitos platillos que incluye carnes varias, pollo, pescado y mariscos frescos, así como un gran surtido de bebidas y jugos naturales, cócteles, tragos, cervezas nacionales e importadas, y vinos.
Bay View Resort tiene a disposición 27 habitaciones para alquilar, todas muy limpias, con aire acondicionado, baño privado, agua caliente, televisión con cable TV y dos confortables camas dobles.

A terrace with benches and tables with large umbrellas is on the beachfront, right next to the restaurant and bar, offering sensational sunset watching to the guests. The name of the place comes from this beautiful view. At night, the terrace becomes a very relaxing place, with the soft sea breeze, the sound of the waves coming and going, and candles on the tables, which gives the place a romantic touch.

Saliendo del restaurante se encuentra la terraza con vista al mar, con mesas que tienen grandes paraguas de sol, desde donde los clientes pueden disfrutar una vista sensacional del atardecer. De esta hermosa vista se origina el nombre del resort. En las noches, la terraza es el lugar ideal para relajarse con la suave brisa marina, el vaivén de las olas, y velas en las mesas, que le dan un toque romántico.

COMO LLEGAR A BAY VIEW
Desde la ciudad de Panamá, puede ir por carro o por autobús a la playa de El Palmar, en San Carlos. Esta playa está ubicada aproximadamente a 93 kms. de la ciudad de Panamá.
Si va por carro, le tomará aproximadamente 1 hora o un poco menos desde Panamá. Tome la carretera Panamericana. Cuando llegue a Coronado, esté pendiente pues El Palmar está a 11 kms de aquí, del lado izquierdo. Primero verá el pueblo de San Carlos, el cual tiene un paso elevado y la estación de policía a orilla de la calle del lado izquierdo. Maneje unos 100 metros más adelante después de pasar la entrada y verá la entrada de Playa El Palmar.
Entre y siga recto hasta el final de la calle principal (“Calle Central”) hasta donde ya pueda ver el mar al frente. Ahí verá el letrero de Bay View, doble a la izquierda. Al final verá la entrada de Bay View que tiene un arco y un ranchito en la puerta.
HOW TO GET TO BAY VIEW ?
From Panama City, you can get to El Palmar beach, San Carlos, by bus or car. The beach is approximately at 93 kms. from Panama City.
By car, it’s approximately at 1:00 hrs. from Panama City. Take the Panamerican Highway, when you pass Coronado, it’s like 11 kms. more to the left side. You’ll reach San Carlos little town (it has a pedestrian bridge at the entrance and a police station) at the left. Keep looking to your left a few more meters and you’ll see the sign that reads “El Palmar” and right in front of the entry you will see a restaurant call Carlitos Pizza
Turn left on that entrance and keep going straight ‘til the end of the main road where you can see the beach., turn left again and there it is! It has an arch at the entrance and a small thatched roof bohio.
If traveling by bus, go to the Albrook bus station and take a bus to San Carlos. It should be around $5.00 the round trip (Panama City- San Carlos and San Carlos- Panama). When you arrive to San Carlos, take a taxi to El Palmar for $2.00 (It’s not recommended to walk- especially with surfboards - because it’s like 1.5 km.
BEACH
SURFING
There are several spots for surfing at El Palmar. The Point, at the end of the beach, is a right hand point break that breaks in a rocky bottom. The Front, is a beach break with sand, and the best spot for learning. Hawaiicito, (Little Hawaii) is a fun wave that breaks on top of rocks; and Jeffrey’s, which is the best of El Palmar, is a long, right hand, and fast wave, that breaks over rocks, probably one of the best in the bay. Both Hawaiicito and Jeffrey’s are in front of Bay View Hotel
Hay varias partes de la playa El Palmar donde surfear: La punta, al final de la playa, es una ola derecha que rompe en un fondo de piedra. El Frente, es un break con fondo de arena y es el mejor para los que están aprendiendo. Hawaiicito, es una ola divertida que rompe encima de las rocas, y Jeffrey’s, es una ola larga, derecha y rápida que rompe también encima de las rocas. Ambas, Hawaiicito y Jeffrey’s están enfrente y diagonal al Bay View
POOL
You can swim in the pool, and so can children, who have their own area. You can also rest or sunbath while lying on the beach chairs around the pool.
Ud. puede nadar en la piscina, igual los niños que también tienen su sección. También puede descansar o tomar sol acostado en las sillas en las sillas de playa, alrededor de la piscina.
